Michael Krump, DDS, is a general dentist at Downtown Dental in Rapid City, South Dakota. Dr. Krump has extensive medical education and experience.
Dr. Krump earned his bachelor’s degree in 1989 at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, while concurrently attending the North Dakota State School of Respiratory Care to become a Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner and a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner. A life-long learner, Dr. Krump also spent two years studying philosophy and classical languages at North Dakota State University in Fargo between 1989 and 1990.
Dr. Krump started his medical career at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo, practicing in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units until 1991 before transferring to the cardiac catheterization laboratory. He worked with cardiologists to assist in the placement of stents in the heart until 1996, when his love of dental procedures and the relationships dentists develop with their patients led him into the dental field. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2000.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Krump loves spending time with his family, including going to school and sporting events with his two sons and daughter, camping, and enjoying life in the Black Hills.
